Make Amy's Pottery Studio a Reality
Donation protected
Ever since High School when I worked at the Little Shop of Plaster, I've dreamed of running my own paint-your-own-pottery studio.
Recently, the stars of my life have, miraculously, aligned. I concluded my last job with a satisfying exclamation point, rounded out my Rolodex of friends and allies, and, to add the final brushstroke, the space I have had my eye on has become available.
Now, to make my dream a reality, I need to assemble the finances to create my new shop. Like everyone, I hesitate to put my hand out to my friends, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime jump into the unknown, and I would appreciate any help you can render.
The mission of The Pottery Spottery is to allow anyone to experience the joy of creating using paint and pottery. Thank you in advance for any support you can offer to help bring my dream to reality. You can check out some of the work I've already done here!

About The Pottery Spottery: The Pottery Spottery will be a 1,400 square foot space outfitted with tables, painting supplies, and pottery blanks (called “bisque”) where people of all ages can come to create. Customers choose a blank to paint--mug, ornament, vase, etc.--and then paint using the supplies we provide, all with the help of the staff to bring their vision to life. After the painting is complete, customers leave their project with us. We fire it in a kiln, creating the glowing luster of ceramics. Most objects are ready within a week. We charge no fee to create. The costs are bundled into the pricing of the bisque.

How the funds will be used:
$50k - start up costs
$100k - 3 months of build-out to reach profitability
