Make Aly and Shane's Birthday Unforgettable
Donation protected
This is is my sis in-love, Alyson (aka, Aly). She was my friend first in school and then she fell in love with my brother (Shane) and naturally, the feeling was mutual because she is a drop dead gorgeous human being, inside and out. She is the most un-selfish person I know. They'll have been married for 20 years next year and they have three beautiful sons.
When Aly was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, she was in her early 30's. She was originally given a death sentence because of the placement and growth but was holistically able to shrink the tumor on her own and then go back in and have surgery in 2021. After surgery with chemo and radiation, she was told she was cancer free and had her reconstructive surgery in February 2023. About a year later in the spring this year of 2024, she started to have a constant debilitating headache. They found a small brain tumor. They were able to zap it and then ordered her PET scan which resulted in finding metastatic cancer in multiple lymph nodes around her lungs. At this point the doctors are saying radiation will not help her. She is going to start IBRANCE to see if it will slow down the progression of the cancer and they will know more by November as to whether or not the cancer is responding to this treatment. Chemo is said to be her last resort.
Aly and Shane are still raising their three beautiful boys, she has made it her life's work and they are still very young. Her and Shane have always dreamed of going to Ireland but they have never been able to save up enough to make this dream a reality. With raising a family, all the medical bills and treatments, there has never been time or money to make it happen.
Would you consider a donation to make this dream come true for them?
I would love to have something for them to look forward to, especially with their upcoming 20th wedding anniversary (and both have birthdays 1 day apart in April!).
Thank you so much for any consideration of an amount. As we all know, it adds up and I know they will be beyond grateful in this hard time of their life.
