I'm reaching out to you today because I need your help to regain my quality of life. Running has always been my passion, a source of essential mental health, joy, and freedom for me. However, a severe abdominal wall condition called diastasis recti has taken that away from me, leaving me in discomfort and unable to pursue what I love. Instead of running, I am struggling to walk around my own home without severe pain. An abdominal gap of 5-9cm is considered severe and worthy of surgical intervention. My gap is 10cm at it's widest point.

Diastasis recti isn't just about aesthetics; it's a condition where the abdominal muscles separate, leading to a weakened core and various health risks if left untreated. Beyond the physical discomfort, leaving severe diastasis recti untreated can lead to chronic back pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence, and increased risk of hernias. It can also affect posture and overall mobility, impacting daily activities and diminishing the quality of life for both me and my family.

After consulting with medical professionals, it's clear that abdominoplasty surgery is the solution to repair my abdominal wall and mitigate these risks. This surgery is essential for my physical and mental well-being, and I'm reaching out to you because I cannot afford it on my own.

The cost of the surgery is substantial. After pooling all our family resources we are still around $12,000 short. The surgeon has freed up a date for me in early April, and to access this, I'm humbly asking for your support. Your generosity will make a significant difference in my life, enabling me to access the medical care I urgently need and regain my independence.
