Hello! My name is Ryan Nunes and I'm a filmmaker that hails from the historical city of New Bedford, MA. I'm trying to raise funds to help put on a showcase to help bring awareness to mental health and the many layers of trauma presented through a series of local films.

Over the past couple years, I've been involved in the New England Film Community as a Creative & as an Actor. Now I'm looking to raise funds to help create a showcase that centers around the shared concept of trauma and how we present it through film. The showcase aims to be anywhere from 3 - 4 hours long, with a networking portion and a live Q & A.

The funds being raised will be used to help secure a venue, provide a photo booth backdrop for the guests to be used for personal photography, and some light foods and refreshments.

The local film community has been nothing short of a blessing for me over the last couple of years. The event is also a reminder that we're stronger together and through those open lines of communication we can continue to grow in a more positive direction and present more meaningful messages through various art forms -but most importantly - bringing attention to those suffering in silence.
