After a successful completion of my exchange year I returned to Sierra Leone with evergreen memories of the best year of my life.
I returned to Sierra Leone during a difficult period of Ebola epidemic. I am sure everyone remembers hearing about. Experiencing it first hand, each day was the hardest part of my life
Through the support of generous people I met in the US, I returned to school and continue studies.
I'm now in a University and have got another opportunity to returne to the US for a conference lasting for 5weeks. As a former State Department sponsored exchange student, the cost of Global Village of Future Leaders of Business and Industry $7500 has been waived.
All I need to do is to pay for a round trip from Sierra Leone to Bethlehem, PA USA and other required internal travels in the US, personal expenses, food for 5weeks etc form June 23rd to July 28th.
I am enthusiastic to attend this program as it is enriching with teaching and learning crucial to my development. I will build network that will help me fulfil my dream of establishing the first Industrial Pharmacy in Sierra Leone. That dream will help strengthen our broken health system. The conference will open doors for me, give me the courage and expand my mind to accomplish my dream. Giving back has been a priority for me, especially because I have been blessed by so many to continue school and University.
Not only establishing the first Industrial Pharmacy In Sierra Leone my dream, but helping others climb the ladder to achieve their own dreams
Should I reach my target by May, 20 2019 to make necessary documentations, flight booking and departure arrangements, I will share my journey with you all and the impact from the program and in the future.
Thank you for taking time to read my story and donate to this cause if it compels you. Remember the widow's mite: nothing is too small to give once it is with a genuine heart.
Love
Allieu
Update:
I want to take this singular opportunity to thank you all who have donated in many ways to make this journey come true. I am eternally grateful to you and I will is to spread the love and touch other lives. I arrived in the safe and have checked in at Lehigh University Icococa Instutute, Bethehem, Pennsylvania. The program will kick start officially tomorrow. I will be updating here and any of you can contact directly if you want to know more on my email: [email redacted]
One more very last plead for a donation:
I need to have $400 by the first week in July. This money is needed for the internal travels I will have to make: to tge United Nations, Philedephia, Washington DC, US State Department, Congress, New York Stock Exchange etc
We will meet with business leaders, Government Officials and Executives. I want to learn and again as much as possible from this program as it will enrich my professional life and help me create more contacts and friends.
All internal travels are on land: Train, bus Uber etc at minimal costs.
PS:
As you may be aware U.S Department of State paid $7500 in full tuition scholarship for the 5 weeks conference. All other costs are one me. Travels, meals, other program related costs. All donations have been used judiciously and exclusively for this cause.
Thanks to Anna and Geneva who have been champions in my life and for coordinating and supporting me always and to all of you who have given even a dollar to this cause, I appreciate it so much. And thank for believing in my dream.
With your help I could get the best form this all important program and will impact my life, help me archive my dreams, professional goals, and in changing the world with love and care for others and less privileged as I am blessed by you all.
Many love and thanks
