Make a Difference: Sponsor a Camp Counselor

This summer I have an amazing opportunity to disciple children in Colorado as a camp counselor. Eagle Lake camp is associated with the college ministry, the Navigators. While I am not in college, I was given an amazing opportunity to join this campus ministry almost two years ago. In the past two years I have seen God work in my life in wonderful ways. From Galatians 5:22-23 I have seen the fruits of the Spirit grow in me, such as joy, patience, and self-control. This camp will be a great opportunity to share my knowledge about our great God to many wonderful children.

Last summer, I went to a summer training program in Jacksonville, Florida. I learned about the importance of evangelism, fellowship, and being in the Word. This summer, I will be continuing in all three of these things, but the one I am most excited for is to evangelize to and teach kids about the importance of God in our lives. The Navigator's motto is ‘We are here to know Christ, make Him Known, and help others do the same!’ When considering the summer opportunity, I think of Act 4:20, which says, “For we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard.” I see this in my life, for I want to do nothing more than share what I have seen and heard God do in my life. Going to Colorado as a camp counselor will give me this opportunity.

While I applied for half of the summer as a day camp counselor, I would like to stay for the full summer, but to do that I need help fundraising. For this mission, I am trusting in the Lord to provide me with support both financially and spiritually. Philippians 4:19 tells me that the Lord will provide. As this is a three month camp, I need to fundraise $3500 to be able to stay the full three months. This money will help to pay for all of my expenses while I am gone. This includes rent, insurance, and miscellaneous bills. I am working hard to save as much money for these expenses, but I cannot do it by myself. I ask that you prayfully decide to support me, whether that be through finances or your prayers. Just as financially supporting me will help, so will prayers.
