Make a difference for Miles; beat ATRT Cancer!

This fundraiser is to support 3 yr old Miles Cherry and his parents, Adam and Alex Cherry.

Miles is a 3yr old boy from Portland, OR with a smile that lights up any room and contagious laughter that warms our hearts. He loves to explore new things, and play with his baby brother Ethan and is especially excited by anything related to trucks, construction sites and toolboxes!

On December 19th, Miles started having trouble with balance and walking and what was originally a routine trip to the hospital quickly turned into the devastating news that Miles had a large brain tumor. In less than 48hrs of the first symptoms, he was taken into the operating room to have the tumor removed.

We’re pleased to report that almost all of the tumor was removed - however, on Christmas Eve the biopsy results showed that Miles has a rare form of brain cancer called ATRT . At this time, Adam and Alex are reaching out to various hospitals and experts around the country to determine the best treatment plan, and want to thank the amazing team of nurses, doctors and neurosurgeons at Doernbecher children’s hospital for helping them navigate this unfathomable situation thus far.

Miles is a fighter and while recovery from surgery has introduced many challenges, he has already shown so much resilience throughout this whole process - traits he no doubt got from his incredibly strong parents who have spent sleepless nights by his bedside advocating for him and researching nonstop to make sure he is getting the absolute best care.

While Adam and Alex are still deciding where Miles will receive treatment, we know that he will need to spend an extensive amount of time in the hospital.
