Welcome to Christine’s Fundraising page! For any of you who know Christine, you know she is one of the most selfless people there is! She is always looking out for others and she will drop whatever she is doing to help a friend. Christine is not only an incredible mom to her three beautiful daughters, but she also watches Hunter while Buddy and I work, and she treats him like one of her own! This summer Christine had surgery to remove what she was told would be a benign tumor on her thyroid. The doctors only removed half of her thyroid because they were so sure that it wasn’t cancer. She waited a few weeks weeks and that’s when she got the call that not only was it follicular carcinoma (thyroid cancer) but by only cutting out half of her thyroid there was a pretty big chance that it is now spreading to the rest of her body. She was told that she would need another surgery to remove her thyroid and then she would have to take a radioactive pill to help kill off the remaining cancer cells. The hard thing about this pill is that she will have to stay in a hotel by herself for a week so that her family and friends won’t be exposed to any radiation. At this point the cancer has also spread to her blood vessels which means that she might have to do chemotherapy following the radiation pill.

Unfortunately Christine and her husband have a high deductible insurance plan which means that her medical bills are already over $16,000. Add to that the fact that she will still have to pay for a hotel for a week and all the work both she and her husband have had to miss because of the two surgeries and the week, she will be by herself for the radiation and that is a lot of financial stress! Christine is such an amazing person and I would love to help her out with some of this stress! Please donate whatever you can because every dollar helps! Thanks!!!
