Makayla’s Final Salute

In life it’s normal to encounter challenges, but as parents we make the assumption that our children will muster through. 

It is with saddened hearts that I share with you the passing of my beloved daughter, Makayla. At the tender age of twenty-one, she could no longer endure life’s challenges. As you could imagine, this is a parent’s worst nightmare, but for me, my reality. My heart aches for my daughter, and even more now, for my adorable three year old granddaughter, Alexandria, whom she left behind. And now, while mourning my daughter’s loss I’ve been faced with the challenge of securing funds to pay for her funeral and burial expenses. 

As most know, I am a school teacher with meager earnings, who works tirelessly and hard to support and provide for my family, all on my own. Yet, it is at this time that I need your help and support in a major way. I am reaching out to YOU, extended family, friends, co-workers, and all with a heart of compassion who are willing to donate to the Gofundme account established for Makayla.
