Makayla Young - Team USA Camps

Makayla Young -- a junior at Bellefontaine High School -- took 3rd place at the UWW Cadet World Team Trials that was held on May 8th in Irving, Texas.  With her top 3 finish, Mak became a National Team Member.  She is just 1 of 2 junior high or high school aged girls in the state of Ohio to accomplish this awesome feat! 

Being a National Team Member allows her to participate in 6 different Team USA wrestling camps -- 2 of them, the Pan Am Team Camp and the World Team Camp, will take place at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.  The other 4 locations are still TBA.  

The funds raised will help defer the costs of attending those camps.  The first camp, the Pan Am Team Camp, is being held on June 2!!!

In addition to Mak being a National Team Member, she is a 2x OHSWCA State Placer (3rd both times), a National Honor Society member, and is currently ranked 8th out of 184 students in her grade with a 4.13 GPA.  She is truly a scholar-athlete!!
