Hello, Makayla "Kayla" was involved in a critical car accident and was air cared to Dayton Kettering Medical Center on 10/22. Kayla was in the back seat asleep when the driver hit a telephone pole. She had surgery on Saturday and has a cervical fracture and a hematoma in her neck pressing on her spinal cord, and her c4 and c5 have shifted. Kayla will be in SICU for a week, require extensive rehabilitation to recover, and will have a lot of medical and living expenses when she is discharged from the hospital. Doctors said they don't know if Kayla will regain full mobility in her right arm and leg. She will not be able to work for 6 months - 1 year due to rehabilitation. She is the primary caregiver to not only her 1.5-year-old daughter but to her 16-year-old brother. The family would appreciate any donations to get this young mother/family back on their feet.
