Makayla Haslett (Laplante)

Hello All! Makayla Haslett is a co-worker of mine at The Sherwin-Williams Company. Makayla was diagnosed with Oral Cancer in January 2022.

 

She had a 10 hour surgery earlier this year that included operations on her tongue, neck, arm, and leg which were all operated on. She received a new tongue where she is learning to speak and swallow again.

 

She just finished a six week period of radiation and chemotherapy. Recently, she was in the hospital for two weeks due to kidney problems. She currently is on a feeding tube trying to hold down nutrients and gain weight. She still has a positive attitude and hopes to heal soon!

 

The purpose of this fundraiser is help Makayla & her husband Keith Haslett with medical expenses. Even though she did not ask for anything from us, we have several people who want to help her.
