My name is Akamu, and I’m starting this fundraiser for Makaio, my 15 year old brother. He is currently in Seattle receiving treatment for an exploratory medical condition. In Hawaii, he spent about a month in the hospital, where he had 3 emergency surgeries on his stomach, in which the stomach had twisted on itself, and he had to have 1 1/2 feet of intestines removed. The doctors in Hawaii had to send him to Seattle because there are no pediatric GI specialists in Hawaii, and Seattle was the next best option for Makaio to receive treatment.
