Major third neck surgery and knee surgery

Hi I am doing this on the behalf of a dear friend who’s in just as much shock as we all are. Her story is long if u know her for the long haul. She was told this past month she will have to under go a third neck surgery. After going in to the doctor explaining loss of bladder function as well as feeling in both hands. The mri showed a collapsed disc as well as compressed cord and no spinal fluid. This is above her second revision surgery and is compressing on the hardware and bone transplant as well. Unfortunately this is not an elective surgery. We don’t know if she will get more hardware or a new disc. This is very risky as for she has been through two already. Her story started in 2010 when she had her first accident and a doctor collapsed her neck and left her in that condition. She fought for two years to find a doctor that could try and correct it. She had a major revision surgery in 2013. which involved all new hardware and a bone transplant. She went through a year of recovery. Until they open her up we won’t know what the outcome will be. It is a major procedure that will leave her with extensive therapy and recovery for months time. Right after she heals they will be doing a knee surgery as well. My friend lives alone and will not be able to supplement her income at this time. We are sending her all the love and support as for this is not the way she through turning 40 would go. Any support is greatly appreciated at this time. Wise words from my friend be good to yourself and better to others. Across many oceans are steamships and battleships but the best ships of all are friendships!!! Let’s help out friend here who we love take some of the stress off her during these trying times.
