THE CASE FOR SUPPORT

Money doesn’t matter, people matter… -Nikki Dagostino

Recovery in our communities is my absolute priority and main focus post these unprecedented times. Getting people back on track, I believe, should be everyones main priority right now, and the first step to getting back on track is having something to do. I believe the first thing we want to do has to be “joy”, joy in its very positive experience, making it inspirational and of course motivational simultaneously.
Where do we start?
We start with our own community coming back together in a positive manner, in order to show that we’re beating the challenges facing us and the world right now, we have to embrace our community in a way that includes us all, together as one.

‘The shortest distance between two objects is a straight line’.
Artists are that line, gatherings are that line, people coming together to remember what it is like to cherish one another in mirth is that line, the straight lines we want to bring to these communities are community events, pop up performances, injecting happiness into our towns again with the vision and aim to connect people as they know how best.

Their smiles will create more straight lines, connecting us all through open ended enjoyment, open ended entertainment in person, (not on a screen and not streamed), you can hear the screams! We need to remember how important “fun” is in its physical sense, because the biggest boost to our immune systems right now is JOY!

I have been travelling rurally and internationally on the road for over 15 years, and what I have witnessed in my time throughout these communities is stimulating people through musical outreach, and to me this is one of the most beautiful parts of living.
Myself and my colleagues have seen how much positive impact can be attained from a musical outreach in the best of times let alone in times like these when we’ve all faced complete isolation in our own experiences.
Now more than ever, artists can come out of the woodwork and pounce on small communities with unexpected levels of entertainment and vibrancy, invigorating and all positive experiences of all forms: Music, Workshops, Collaborations, Writing initiatives, Free Community Events … its endless!!!
How can we prove to realistically address this problem:

-Whats is available to us on our very own doorstep in WA’s beautiful state
-Making Australians aware of what WA has to offer
-Our focus to get Australians out again post Covid19 and to hidden gems
-Perform free community events in towns and schools to inject happiness & hope
-Document a series of what happens on the road

An ongoing issue lies within our Australians always travelling during winter time to the given Bali, or abroad to Europe.
We want to bring their focus to back to their doorstep in Western Australia.

Demonstrating community support:

To anyone who has ever lived in the country, these people know how important entertainment is to their community. Festivals, fairs, performances, visits in whatever form is what keeps the imaginations sharp, kids imaginations with new possibilities, the youth of our tomorrow to keep up with the traditions of the past.

When you live in the country, it is naturally beautiful, it can put anyone at ease with the rolling hills and relaxed atmosphere. However without events or light in the art of something to look forward to, it all loses its value.
We want to bring artists to town to boil the pot once again, all that peace and quiet and easy going lifestyle can turn into a big party in no time, however the country peace only exists when the party leaves, and the party is only welcome when a piece of the country needs reminding of their peacefulness by injecting lots of new colour at any given moment and in the mind of the hearts and memories of those who are lucky enough to live there all year round.

We want to encourage residents of perth and other major cities to choose regional now that borders are down and restrictions have been lifted.
“If ya cant go to Bali.. go to Broome”!!

WHAT IS OUR PROPOSED PROJECT/ PROGRAM
-The objectives: what is our aim
-how we will achieve the above
-Evaluation: how will we succeed and measure the success

It is in our effort to bring more quality acts and entertainers and TV personnel to host and run random pop up events in iconic locations throughout Western Australia.
Facilitate and run a series of entertainment in the North regions to experience connections with promoters and bookers , get in contact with councils, shires, schools, holiday parks, whatever it may be and look into a series of events for communities and programming free concerts and collaborations with them directly to encourage people to leave Perth and other major cities around Australia to travel to these absolutely gorgeous iconic locations and hidden gems.

Along the way we would have a small film crew with us to promote content for the life of future tourism - doing mini fun commercials in iconic places for later reference : play and perform in iconic locations and host and document a mini documentary series of the scenarios and behind scenes.
A real life series of the events that occur to document a possible advertising campaign designed to encourage tourism into our North West regions in the wake of the Covid19 restrictions preventing international travel and encourage a reinvigoration into WA.

Overall a tourism based stimulus package: marketing for future reference.
In doing so, we would be seeking a marketing grant in order to put together this promotional package based on the entertainment tour and will seek funding to get this off the ground.
We seek to find the material necessary to sustain business coming in and capitalise further and in future see the returns.
