Hi, friends. This is Major. On 11/3/19 I was taking myself out for a walk to smell around and while I was crossing the street I was hit by a car. I was three houses from home and when it happened, I screamed and cried. Despite having a severely broken right front leg, I managed to run back home and sat under the street light and cried for my mama. She came running out to me, picked me up (I'm not little!), and put me in the car. My neighbor, who I chat with through the fence every day and keep an eye for her kitties, drove me and my mama to the emergency veterinary hospital. I'm in ICU, scared, lonely, and just want to be back home with my mama and baby boy, Samuel. 

My mama had to use her only credit card just to get me the emergency care I needed the night of the accident. She just had neck surgery a couple months ago, so funds are scarce. I can be fixed, but surgery for me is EXPENSIVE! My mama needs help ASAP to cover what she's already given, more wound care, medications (pain pills, please!!), and surgery with pins or an amputation of my right front leg. 

I can't imagine not being able to have the surgery I need to fix me. My baby boy, Samuel and I will have to learn how to play fetch together again, go on walks through Asilomar and Pacific Grove parks, frisbee on Carmel beach...there are so many things I love to do. My neighborhood often stops at my fence to say hi, the mailman gives me treats, and my friends at the Naval Postgraduate School will have to see me hobbling down Root Hall to collect treats from all the offices while getting belly rubs, pats on the head, and 'at-a-boys.' 

If I can help my mama raise the funds for my surgery, it will be the first step of many to my recovery and re-training. I just want to play, run, and jump again and sleep with my favorite squeaky toys. If you can help, please donate and I promise I'll be your friend for life.
