Hi, I’m Sirita Buonantony and I’m fundraising for my husband, Michael Buonantony, and our family. On 10/08/2023 around 3:00 AM. He had major accident on the freeway, a drunk driver had stopped in the middle lane of freeway and my husband tried to swerve around their vehicle, but clipped the tail end of their suburban style suv causing him to smash into the concrete guard median. The firefighters came and had to use Jaws of Life and saws to extract Mike from the vehicle. It was at this point we learned Mike had serious-life threatening injuries. His pelvis was crushed into five pieces, his femur was broken on both sides, his tibia was fractured and his knee was broken in half and blown out underneath. He also has fractures to his toes. He needed to go thru multiple surgeries over the past week but finally got to the point that his life is no longer in danger. Unfortunately this is also the point where he needs to start going through physical and occupational rehabilitation to get movement and control back to his left side of his body. This is going to take at least 4-6 months and his sick pay at work is only available for a month. We will need help and are asking all our friends and families if they have the means to please help us. Many people have already reached out and we appreciate you from the both of our hearts. Mike is a family man and just wants to get home to his two daughters and get back to his family.
