We rescued Maizie at 3 months old and shes been with us for 4 months. She has been the best addition to our family. One week ago Maizie stopped eating, became lethargic and unlike herself. After a week in her vet's care and no improvement, she was hospitalized at a speciality center 35 minutes from our home. Shes been diagnosed with pancreatitis. She has been in care for almost 48 hours and her numbers have been improving. The doctor believes she has a very good prognosis, given more time on meds and fluids. She is so young and is fighting hard. However, financially, we are struggling to be able to keep her there. We are absolutely heartbroken beyond words. She has so much more love to give and we want to do anything we can to help her recover. We are asking that if anyone feels led, or is able, to donate to her medical fund so we can keep her there for another couple nights to make a full recovery.
