Hi, I’m Maizee.

I’m a dwarf Persian Torti, who just got some really sad news. My kidneys are failing, and I'm not feeling like my spunky, playful self. Being that I’m not even 2 years old, it’s been a roller coaster of disbelief and super tough on my mom and dad knowing I’m sick. We knew with my size that something was off when I started sleeping all the time and drinking endless amounts of water. Mom and dad took me to the vet where we discovered I’m at 75% kidney failure. With this, I have been put on a super strict (and expensive) diet that includes so many supplements to help my kidneys function and to ease the workload on my little 5-pound body. My mom is giving me IV fluids every other day at the house, which really hurts, but makes me feel so much better. I even started playing with my toys the other day after my first round of fluid. I know my parents are going to do everything they can and spend as much as they have, and I’m just here to help with my donation page. The fluids will be a lifelong thing, but it will prolong my life a little further and give me more quality living so I can be a baby and play and have energy. Fluids and IV treatment get expensive, especially when I get it 3x a week. Any donations will help with the cost of making me feel a little better and help with my medical bills and imaging, as well as routine blood work I’ll need every 6 weeks.
