Honoring Maison "Sonny" Moore

Hello everyone, my name is Kamryn and I am writing today to tell you about my beautiful, 14 year old brother, Maison “Sonny” Moore, who unexpectedly passed on Friday, September 27th. Maison was the loving son of Tori and Tony, amazing older brother to Ethan and Logan and a friend to everyone he met.
Although my family is originally from New Orleans, they have been residents of the Augusta area for the last three years. Since moving, my family has become a part of the Oakey Grove Baptist Church in Evans, GA. as well as the Euchee Creek and Riverside Middle School communities. Maison graduated from Riverside Middle School, where he touched and brightened the lives of many of his classmates. Earlier this Fall, Maison began his freshmen year at Greenbrier High School, where he aspired to join the band and track team. Anyone who knew Sonny can attest to how radiant and infectiously bright his smile and personality were, no matter how brief the interaction
We are truly devastated by Maison's sudden passing and are trying to prepare for the startling costs of the memorial services. I have started this fundraiser on behalf of my mother, Tori, to help absorb some of the funeral costs and ease her financial burdens. As a single mother , she will be unable to work as she begins the process of grieving and healing with my family. The funds donated will assist her in continuing to support my two younger brothers, Ethan (12) and Logan (5).
My goal is to raise $7,000 and even if you are unable to give, I ask that you continue to pray over our family. I would like to say that we are so very grateful for the love and support that everyone has shown to our family during this heartbreaking time.
We are expecting to hold the commemorative services to honor Maison on Saturday, October 5th, at 11 AM at Oakey Grove Baptist Church located on 911 N Belair Road, Evans, GA 30809. We are asking that everyone wear a shade of purple, as it was Sonny’s favorite color. Please consider donating in place of flowers.
