Sweet Maisie girl is just shy of her 9th birthday, and for the last month has been battling several episodes of illness. It started in the first week of March, when we took her to the ER vomiting bile. She was dehydrated, but seemingly in good health. After a few days of the special veterinary diet, she developed severe diahrrea from the food and we switched her back. There was some progress over the next week or so when she again took another turn for the worse. Refusing all food, even treats and sweet potatoes, and barely drinking water. Her lymph nodes are extremely swollen and she’s down to 38lbs when she’s usually close to 60.

Todays appointment (4/1) showed she has pancreatitis, but it’s suspected to be secondary to the infection causing her lymph nodes to swell, which was not identified by any of the testing so far. Samples were taken directly from her lymph nodes today and sent off for cultures. We have a follow up Friday. Testing and treatment have already totaled over $3000 and with more appointments scheduled, that number will definitely increase. Even if you can’t help, send some love our way.
