Maisie’s Fundraiser for the MS Society
Hi I’m Maisie, I’m 13 years old.
I’m raising money for the MS society as it’s a cause very close to my heart and I would really appreciate your support.
My Dad Craig was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2000. MS is an autoimmune disease which has no cure and progresses over time. It affects the brain and spinal cord and causes a range of symptoms such as blurred vision and how people move, think and feel.
My Dad struggled to walk and really missed out doing lots of fun things with me while I grew up but he always remained positive and had a smile on his face through the hardest moments.
On the 5th of January this year my Dad sadly passed away age 47 leaving a huge hole in all of our hearts. I really want to do something to celebrate his life and help others along the way.
On the 3rd of May, a group of friends and I (following COVID restrictions) plan to walk half a marathon (13 miles) along the River Thames to raise money for those struggling with MS.
I would hugely appreciate any donations and support that you may offer and would be amazed if we could reach the £1000 target.
Thank you in advance for all your help.
