Hi, my name is Maira Olvera.

On August 8th, my life changed in an instant. I was a passenger in a serious car accident that left me with severe injuries. I’ve undergone multiple surgeries and spent a week in the Surgical ICU. I’ve now been in the hospital for over two weeks, and while I am so thankful to be alive, I know I have a very long road to recover ahead.

I do have medical insurance, but unfortunately, it does not cover everything. The accident has left me with significant out-of-pocket expenses, co-pays, rehabilitation costs, and everyday living needs that I am struggling to manage. Since I am unable to work right now, the financial burden is even heavier, and it’s been difficult to keep up while trying to focus on healing.
