Mainwaring's lose home to fire

Hi, my name is Brad Shaw, I have started this fundraiser on behalf of Gord, Cindy, Roman and Nick.

In the late afternoon of January 27, a fire quickly tore through the Mainwaring’s family home in Cinnabar Valley, Nanaimo.

As a result of the fire Gord, Cindy and the boys have lost their home along with everything inside.

While they have found refuge with family for a period of time, their personal expenses are quickly rising.

Your support will help bring a sense of security and normality to their lives and help alleviate some of their financial burden during such a trying time.

Gord and Cindy are two of the most caring, compassionate and generous people I have the honour of knowing and calling friends.

While many of us cannot imagine the trauma that is associated with having to watch as your memories and belongings burn right before your eyes, as a community, we can most certainly soften the experience by showing up for Gord and Cindy’s family and reminding them that they are not alone on this really difficult journey.

Any little bit you can donate is immensely appreciated and most certainly helps to alleviate some of the financial pressure and stress they will be experiencing in the coming weeks, months and years to come.
