Maine HVA Van
Donation protected
The Maine Homeless Veterans Alliance is seeking YOUR help in raising money for a new cargo van!
Describe who benefits:
First and foremost, Veterans are benefitted. MHVA collects donated furniture and stores it and when a veteran is approved an apartment, MHVA then steps in and supplies the veteran with furniture for the entire apartment for free. The veteran will also receive a new bed. We have supplied and moved in over 200 veterans since the inception of MHVA as a 501(c)(3). We also have a storage pod packed with donated items. Those items we distribute to the homeless in Portland.
Detail what funds are being used for:
The funds will be used for a New Cargo Van and if we raise more than enough, we will use the excess to put that towards insurance.
How soon do we need the funds?: We are in desperate need for the funds as soon as possible. Without the van we have to use MHVA funds to rent a van or truck and it has slowed down our distributions to the homeless. We are in dire need.
How grateful will we be: Words cannot describe how grateful we would be. With the a new cargo van, we will be able to go out more frequently and cover two other counties;York and Androscoggin. We would be forever indebted to everyone who contributes, no matter what amount.
Thank you all for your support!
