Bill and Christina Main have found themselves at a crossroads and they need your help. Bill has worked for Trader Joes's from 2007 to the present designing their creative packaging, starting as a sign artist in store, he worked his way up to the corporate level over eleven years in order to support his growing family. In his 14 years at the company, Bill’s reviews from colleagues and supervisors were overwhelmingly positive. This last year, while working at home, he actually received his best review yet.Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, Trader Joe's recently decided to require all of their corporate office employees to obtain one of the Covid 19 vaccines that has only been authorized under Emergency Use Authorization. Bill, having religious convictions against being coerced into taking one of these vaccines while not approved by the FDA, opted out, but Trader Joe's threatened to fire him regardless of his religious conviction. He asked for the flexibility to work from home as he and the whole design team had done so well this last year, but ultimately when he refused the vaccine, he was unceremoniously let go.
Bill and Christina have a 6 year old son and and Christina is due in July with their second child. Christina has a high-risk pregnancy due to having Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and needs to be monitored regularly. Not having health insurance is extremely stressful for them.
While Bill is seeking full time employment they need help with the cost of medical care for Christina, high-risk appointments, prenatal vitamins, food, gas and utilities.
Giving to this beautiful family means supporting them in their time of need, but it also means so much more. It means standing against medical bullying and for bodily autonomy. No one should have to take a risk with their health and give up their religious convictions in order to provide, food, shelter and medical care for their family.
As friends of the Main family we cannot thank you enough for supporting them!
