Mai Hodges-Brain Aneurysm Support ❤
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Samantha Strother and I have started the Mai Hodges-Brain Aneurysm Support in order to raise money for my aunt.
On October 20, 2015 my aunt suffered from a brain aneurysm. She was found unconscious at her work, where she was immediately rushed to Plano Medical Center intensive care unit (ICU). She remained in the hospital for 2 days before undergoing an endovascular coiling treatment to repair her hemorrhage. On Tuesday October 22, 2015 she underwent another surgery to have a balloon placed to dilate the blood vessel in her brain. The doctors gave us positive but little information daily. She remained in the P.M.C. ICU for 23 days. In that time she made major progress towards recovery with reducing the blood and swelling in the brain.
On November 12, 2015 she was transferred to Mesquite Specialty Hospital because she has made tremendous advances, like breathing on her own, tracking with her eyes, and responding to commands. This hospital specializes in Rehabilition. She is able to move her extremities but still has a long way to go. My family has full faith the doctors and staff will do a great job helping my aunt to fully recover.
As a day care director, my aunt has spent majority of her life taking care of children and raising them to be good kind people. She is fun, yet drives and encourages you to become more than you ever thought you could be. She lights up any room she is in just by being herself. If you are reading this and you know my Aunt Mai you recognize the beautiful loving person I am talking about. Her family is her world, and I know this is going to be extremely troubling for her when she is capable of understanding the situation. As a child, if I was not with my mom I was with my Auntie Mai. Everyday we are fighting through this and praying for her to recover.
Numerous people have come together to support our aunt and her family; we could not thank you enough! This is a place where you can donate to help my aunt and her family if you are looking to do so. I ask for you to spread this message, anyway possible, so we can help Mai Hodges.
I want to thank you for reading this and caring about my family!
Samantha
“Dear God,
Dispel my fear. End my anxiety. Wipe worry from my mind. May the one I care about find good health and complete recovery. Make known the healing power of Your hands. Give comfort and shelter beneath your wings.
Amen”
“I said a prayer for you today, that God would touch you with His healing hand and give you the comfort and peace you need to get through.”
Psalm 41:3 “The Lord sustains him on his sickbed; in his illness you restore him to full health.”
