Maida Brkanovic Memorial Fund
Our beautiful Maida was killed in a horrific motorcycle accident in Syracuse, NY on 8/29/20. She was 25 years old.
Maida was a perfectly imperfect miracle that will never be repeated in this universe. She had a great aptitude for generating love and brightness for those around her. She was indiscriminate with her love; she loved animals of all kind, and was fiercely passionate about animal rights and all types of charitable causes, from breast cancer awareness to the homelessness crisis.
A true kind and caring soul, Maida radiated love unconditionally and was fiercely loyal to her values regardless of the cost. Although taken too soon, she has left us with the miracle of inspiration and hope, the idea that a smile and a kind word is sometimes all that is needed.
In Maida’s memory and honor, our family would like to continue Maida’s philosophy of caring and loving unconditionally - no one should be spared or slighted of love.
Maida supported many various causes and was extremely passionate about dog rescue, care and services for underprivileged children and homelessness. Maida was avid advocate for research in finding cure for MS, kidney disease and breast cancer and attended annual walks that benefited such causes.
Our family has started this Memorial campaign in Maida’s name, in her honor, and memory. All proceeds donated will be used to support these causes so that Maida can continue to live on and spread love and caring through her ideals.
She will be deeply and greatly missed, and never forgotten by the family and friends that survive her.
