In loving memory of our beloved Muminah, we are raising funds to build a water well as an act of ongoing charity (ṣadaqah jāriyah) on her behalf. In Islam, providing water is among the most virtuous forms of charity, and it continues to benefit others long after it is given.

The Prophet ﷺ was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied: “Giving water to drink.” (Sunan al-Nasa’i,)

The Prophet ﷺ also said: “When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.” (Sahih Muslim)

A water well is a beautiful form of ongoing charity, every drop drawn, every family served, every thirst quenched becomes a source of reward, by the permission of Allah.
