Beloved, as you all know, Mahidi Newman passed away this year. To honor him we have created, "The Mahidi Newman Scholarship Fund" to support his son Malcolm with his college expenses.

As Justin Emeka said perfectly, "Mahidi Newman represented New York, Cardinal Hayes, the Bronx, Trinidad, Ethiopia, and Oberlin. Mahidi reflected so many great people and legacies, and he enriched the legacies of so many around him. He made you laugh, made you think, made you mad, made you dance, made you play basketball, made you fight, made you listen to reggae, made you love. He had a style that was all his own and if you talked to him long enough, you would start to sound and talk more like him."

We miss you Mahidi but we know that your legacy will live on with your sons and the youth your College Scholarship Fund will touch!
