Hello, my name is Stephanie Amador and I am the eldest daughter of Margarita "Mago" Amador. We currently found out that our mother was diagnosed with Polycythemia vera. This disease is a slow-growing blood cancer which causes complications, such as blood clots, which can lead to a heart attack or stroke. She is a single mother of 4 who is dealing with the stress of everyday bills and now, medical bills. She is a woman who likes to help out in the community and do anything she can to help others. She is a pillar in the Boyle Heights community and does a lot of volunteer work at Hollenbeck. Her energy, enthusiam and dedication to the community is asthonishing and does not go unnoticed. So, at this difficult time, we ask for any donation (big or small) to help her pay for her medical bills and to help her get on her feet and to relieve some stress this has caused.
