Magnolia Way Web Series

*Update: Thank you so much to everyone who helped us reach our goal! No further donations are needed; we are blown away by the amount of support we've gotten and are so grateful for every person's contribution to our project!
Hello! Our names are Mishka Witkin and Zoe Thomas; we are third-year students at DePaul University pursuing creative degrees in film & television. We are developing a web series called Magnolia Way that we plan to produce in April.
Magnolia Way explores an unconventional friendship found in an unlikely place. When college student Piper is forced to move in with 65-year-old Ruth, the two of them navigate the challenges of the present while helping each other reconcile with their pasts. Magnolia Way is a character-driven dramedy highlighting the importance of found family and intergenerational female relationships.
We are both moved to tell this story for the women in our lives who have impacted us greatly and shaped us into the people we are today.
Producing a web series from scratch is an expensive endeavor, and therefore, crowdfunding is an integral part of the process. Funding for this project will go towards feeding our crew, production design, transportation, and other contingencies. All donors who provide $25 or more will receive a special thanks in the credits, but we are grateful for every donation, no matter the size, and we are excited to build a community around Magnolia Way that extends beyond the screen.
Thank you for considering supporting our project, your generosity plays a pivotal role in making this story a reality!
