Magnet film - A Faith based answer to Youth Crime
WHO WE ARE & WHY WE ARE FUNDRAISING:
It has always been a vision of TNM ministry to produce inspiring films and drama that will reach and impact a much wider audience. Our project this time is a feature film that seeks to address youth violence and decadence from a faith based perspective. There are programs and schemes being supported by the government to rehabilitate and educate youths in various communities across the UK concerning the perils of gang violence, but there is a huge gap, we find, in addressing the dire issue from a faith based angle.
Our aim is to bridge this gap, by looking to add a strong moral and spiritual balance to all existing governmental and non-governmental strategies through our movie MAGNET.
WHO BENEFITS:
Ultimately, the society at large (government, parents, police, local councils, religious organisations, youths, etc) all stand to benefit when we see more and more youngsters making better choices and reducing crime in the society.
WHAT THE FUNDS WILL BE USED FOR:
The funds are essentially to cover expenses prior, during and post production (e.g. equipment rentals, licenses, insurances, publicity, props, food, transport, software, etc).
HOW SOON FUNDS ARE NEEDED:
Due to the current pandemic, it has been extremely difficult to plan but we do plan on commencing production by end of March so we would ideally like to get all the funds required much before that time
WHAT THIS SUPPORT MEANS TO US:
This film project is a collaboration with A2J (a Manchester-based Christian youth group) and is backed by the support of an ex-London gang member Sephton Henry who has been using his time over the past several years to enlighten youths against leading the life of gang. He has featured on BBC, ITV, SKY, etc offering support and advice to government. Our aim, together, is to use this film project to broaden that same message but presenting it from a faith perspective.
