Hello everyone,
We were saddened by the news today of our dear friend Magie, whom was placed in hospice today after a long fight against Cancer.
Magie was a true friend through and through to so many!! She lived her life to the fullest and was a lake St. Clair Boater to the heart. She was never afraid to take her boat anywhere and all by herself. Loving the water, especially Lake St. Clair, she could be found at Muskamoot bay every summer weekend and then on to Brown's for "Just one More"
Magie worked for Pier III for a long time. She loved working with Jimmy and Benny and loved all the customers of which many were good friends!! She always had a kind word for Jimmy and Benny who gave her a job when she really needed it and she really appreciated and loved them like family!.
Boat Racing had Magie as one of their biggest fans. Offshore and Hydro planes were her favorites and oh, the stories she had!! When she told them she would just laugh, and her eyes would light up!! She loved reminiscing with Red Crain about all the adventures they had during their Offshore racing years.
She was a member of Jefferson Yacht Club for a long time and loved the friends and memories she had there too.
Magie beat cancer many times through out the years and was recently diagnosed with colon cancer about two years ago. She beat it once, but unfortunately it came back with a vengeance and she just could not win this battle. Caitlyn, her daughter has been taking such good care of her this whole time. Along with juggling a full time job and home schooling her son through Covid. Magie was so proud of her daughter. Thank God she had Caitlyn by her side. She was also just so thrilled with her grandson Carter, he was the apple of her eye.
We want to give our sweet friend everything she deserves to honor her memory. Please help us, help Caitlyn, Magie’s daughter, through this difficult time as she helps her mom, the last member of her immediate family fight this last battle.
Donations will go directly to Caitlyn to help pay end of life costs for Magie and any remaining donations will help Caitlyn raise Carter.
