Magical Holiday Parade 2019
Donation protected
Last year, and with just 24 short days to plan and produce a parade, our community pulled together to raise $16,482 and save our annual Christmas Eve tradition.
To the volunteers and donors, the carolers and dancers, and the parade attendees who supported us, cheered for us, and gave us the confidence to undertake this crazy adventure: Thank you! It takes a village to produce this event, and we love our village!
This year, with time to spare, our fundraising goal is to cover 100 percent of the cost of this parade—$51,162—so that the Magical Holiday Parade can be continued year upon year.
OUR FUNDRAISING GOAL
The truth is, it takes three times the amount raised last year (not including the cost of purchasing the original parade assets) to produce the event. We cannot personally continue to sustain the Magical Holiday Parade without significant fundraising efforts.
All funds raised for this event will be used solely to maintain the vehicles and cover the operating costs necessary to improve upon our Christmas Eve tradition. A few of the more expensive line items in our budget include:
* $12,000 in annual storage fees
* $9,143 in lighting, décor and electronics
* $7,160 in audio and maintenance
We are proud to announce that the Magical Holiday Parade obtained IRS approval as a non-profit, public charity, meaning that all of your donations are tax-deductible.
OUR VISION
Our team has been working since mid-summer on our Christmas Eve 2019 parade, and we are proud to announce that we have a happier, jollier parade in store.
We truly did our best with the time we had last year. We hope you can understand that although we had experience running large-scale events, this was our first parade. Our security teams were on point, and we needed to change the route to keep the event contained for safety purposes. As a result, we moved through the route more quickly than we had anticipated.
This year, we are working with security, route maintenance, and our board of directors to:
* Add a portion of the old route back into the event, if possible.
* Add a few stops along the way.
* SLOW DOWN! We know we need to provide more time for families to enjoy the parade this year.
We have a few other surprises in store, so please follow us on social media for regular announcements, including the route schedule and tracking information, as they become available.
