Magic Mike needs help buying a car

I really hate having to do this. Isn’t that always how these things start? It’s true though, it’s not fun. The past two years have not been easy. As a few of you may know I was disabled for most of 2023. I had a cluster of pinched nerves in my back that required spinal surgery that left me unable to work (or walk, stand, sleep, exist without debilitating, horrible pain) for almost a full year. Between SDI being idiots and medical professionals, not knowing how to fill out disability forms, It was more drama and paperwork than anyone should ever have to go through just to NOT be able to pay their rent. Yes, it was that bad. Eventually I recovered and was cleared to return to work and while it was great to be getting a paycheck again, I had built up a lot of new debt, having to use credit cards and such to pay my bills. After getting back to work, things were just starting to level off and I got COVID again and missed more work. Then 3 months later in March, some drunk person totaled my parked car while I was out. Absolutely totaled it! The guy did have insurance, but the car according to Geico wasn’t worth much. The value of the car to me is that it got me to work and back every day. It wasn’t pretty or fancy but it drove well and despite the odd issue here and there it’s been reliable enough to get me back and forth 80 miles to and from my job 5 days a week to try and earn enough money to pay bills and surgery co pays, anesthesiologists and physical therapy that I never received. Also I had things in the car that were valuable and will be hard to replace, Including some props for my stage show.

Short story long - insurance paid out for the value of the car according to them. It is not enough to buy another vehicle. I have tried for months. I have been fortunate enough to be able to borrow a car but it’s an extremely temporary fix. I’m still no closer to being able to buy a car and I desperately need one. I was tapped out financially before this guy wrecked my life and I do not have anything more than the insurance paid out to put towards it. I do not have the money to take on another monthly payment so financing something is out. I need to purchase a vehicle outright and it turns out I can’t do it on my own.  I truly thought I could, but I know when I’ve been beaten. I really didn’t want to do this but I’m out of options. If you can help I would appreciate it more than I could ever tell you. Everything helps. Even a share. I don’t know how to end this?
