TALLINN 2025 ➡️ LONDON 2026
In May this year, the night before I would start training, I spontaneously signed up for Tallinn Marathon with the ‘ambitious, but doable’ (according to ChatGPT ) goal of swapping my 3:55 time for a sub 3:38 to try and qualify for a spot in London marathon, after so many well known ballot disappointment emails.
16 weeks later with the usual chaos of a busy schedule, recurring injuries and a poorly timed wine marathon, I’m SO excited to say my application was successful and I’ll get to run around smiling in my favourite city in the world next year!
It’s probably obvious by now how much I love running, so I don’t want anyone to feel pressure to donate, especially as I don’t have to fundraise for this spot. But because this will be such a special day for me and something I’ll maybe only do once, I did want to take the opportunity to raise some money for a worthy cause if I can.
As an ex teacher in London, I heartbreakingly had students in my classroom who started their day hungry, having gone without their breakfast and sometimes even dinner. Magic Breakfast works to make sure no child in the UK starts their day too hungry to learn, delivering over 300,000 nutritious breakfasts to schools every morning. For more info on the great work Magic Breakfast do, take a look at their website
SO much love to friends who shared miles and those who put up with me showing up sweaty and often late I hope to see you all at London Marathon 2026 babyyyyyy!
