Yesterday my mom, Maggie Kitson, underwent a surgical procedure to remove what they believed to be a high grade dysplasia polyp. The surgery went smoothly, but the doctor discovered that the growth was likely a cancerous tumor. We won't know for sure until the biopsy results are back in a couple of days, but the doctor seemed pretty certain due to the way it appeared and how it was attached. They also removed 12 inches of colon, her appendix, and a few lymph nodes.
As instructed my mother will be unable to work for at least six weeks, which is why I'm creating this campaign. The funds raised here will be used to supplement her income while she is unable to work. I will keep you all updated on her healing process as well as the biopsy results.
If you can donate or share this campaign I would be forever grateful.
