My Mom, was diagnosed with breast cancer just before Christmas.  I found her crying a few times, but she would say she was listening to a sad song or had just watched a sad movie. I wasn't sure what was wrong, but I knew something was.  Then she told us she was sick.

My brother and I try help her all the time. I reach the shelves that she can no longer reach, and both my brother and I have learned to do laundry. We have even started putting away the dishes. We are learning to help take on other stuff we never had to do before because she took care of it.

My mom has always taken care of my brother and me. It has been just the three of us for as long us as I can remember. Although we don't have much money, we have always been happy.  Mom has always found a way to make it work.  Right now my mother is worried and I know it's because she is trying to find a way to pay the bills, even if she won’t say it.
