Maggie's Triple Negative Breast Cancer Care Fund

In November 2022, Maggie's world was turned upside down when she received the devastating news that she had the most aggressive form of breast cancer - Triple Negative Breast Cancer. As a loving wife to Meg and a devoted mother to their one-year-old daughter Rhys, Maggie's only wish was to build a life with her family in America. However, her dreams were put on hold as she desperately needed a green card to contribute and make a life for herself and her family.

The rollercoaster ride began when Maggie underwent a medical exam for her green card application in The Netherlands. A nodule was discovered in her TB X-Ray, leading to further tests and biopsies. It was then that Maggie received the crushing diagnosis - there was no cure for her cancer, and she had only two years to live.

Despite the distance from her family, Maggie never gave up hope. She bravely faced her diagnosis head-on, determined to live a longer life than what was predicted by her oncologist. Meanwhile, Meg fought tirelessly to bring Maggie back to the US, navigating through bureaucratic red tape and taking care of Rhys alone with the help of their family and friends. After a month of fighting, Meg succeeded in obtaining Maggie's green card.

Maggie finally returned home on December 4th, and with the help of a more hands-on oncologist in New Jersey, she was able to undergo a promising clinical trial. Today, Maggie is doing much better and is almost herself again. However, the journey has been an uphill battle for Maggie and her family.
