Maggie's Mission to Miyazaki
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Maggie, and God has called me to work in Miyazaki, Japan. I spent one year there from April 2022 to March 2023 working with the Pioneers mission organization. I've always had an interest in Japan, and God finally made it clear that that was for more than just a fun hobby.
There are 123,158,033 people in Japan, and less than 1% identify as Christian. People face the same problems they do anywhere—family struggles, painful working environments, bullying in schools. There are tens of thousands of Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples in Japan, but few churches and even less awareness of who God is or that He is someone they can turn to.
I met many people in Japan: a retired man with a tenuous connection to his family, a woman and her daughter with an interest in foreign cultures, even Muslim immigrants. I also met young Christians with a heart for Christ, holding onto faith even when they were the only Christian at their school.
After one year there, my heart for Japan only grew. I am now working towards returning to Japan in March 2024 as a long-term missionary. Please help me get there and serve the people of Japan for the glory of God.
The total amount I need is $3700/month and $28,000 for one-time costs.
The biggest chunk of that is language school at $13,700.
The amount I'm asking for here, $6000, is the amount I still need by mid-October to get my application in with proof I can pay tuition. While I'll need the full amount by March 2024, I need this school money by mid-October 2023.
