Maggie's healing from Parkinson's

Dear Hearts, those who have been and are about to become blessings in my life.  I open to receive your support.  Throughout my life I have been proud of my self-reliance.  As a single mother, a healer and life coach, an independent business woman and an artist, it has been my joy to be available to others as we walked through the challenges of life together with courage and grace.  I learned to believe early in ife that no matter how difficult things seem there is always tomorrow to look forward to. I trust that there is a strength available within which can overcome whatever obstacles may be placed before me. I believe in the power of healing to take me through my days with joy and gratitude until the end of this ife opens peacefully to the next step.

Recently I was given the label of Parkinson's disease.  It has drastically altered how I support myself.  After 35 years in practice as a massage therapist the tremors anad weakness in my hands make it impossible to do the work I love. My voice is weak and unreliable which prevents me from public speaking, teaching and counseling. People have a hard time understanding what I am saying, especially on the phone.  My days used to be filled with the joy of singing. The loss of the sound of my voice is a deep wound. And yet...

I believe in the possibility of healing. I have witnessed this power in myself and in others. I believe that when I make the commitment to healing the methods to achieve that healing will present themselves. And, in my case, they have. There are people who are living with the diagnosis of Parkinson's who are symptom free bcause of their commitment to the healing modalities of:
Nutrition therapy
Focused commitment to exercise

It is essential that I begin this program as soon as possible to begin to reorganize the neurological pattern already in process.
I have already have a regular program of yoga which has been modified to accomodate the loss of  muscle strength and balance. I know I have the ability to immerse myself in this healing process, to open to expand into even greater health, to embrace my body's ability to regain strength, stilnesss and clear, joyful expression and to serve as an example for others who seek their freedom from the limitations of what they are told is a chronic, progressive disease.  I believe I can be symptom free.

The cost of 1 year of focused treatments will be:
$4000 - 14 day Qijong healing retreat in New Mexico
                    with airfare
$450 - Physical therapy program designed for
                those labeled with Parkinson's - 16 visits over 4
weeks - Medicare pays for al but $28 per visit
$600 - weekly Qijong class for 1 year @$50 per month
$1200 - Nutritional therapy at $100 per mos.
$600 - Massage once a month at $50 per treatment
$2400 - Acupuncture for 1 year
Total: $9250

Thank you to the generous loving people in my healing community have volunteered their skills.  When I exceed the total amount of the expenses listed here, it will be my great pleasure to give back the those who have given their loving support.
