Maggie’s SkegVegas 60th Year Cycling Challenge

To celebrate my 60th year, I am going to try to cycle the 100 miles from Ilkeston to Skegness. Bionic knee, creaky back and weather permitting, this will happen on Wednesday 2 September 2026 with my Ilkeston Cycle for Health buddies.

I am taking on this challenge to raise much-needed funds for two dog rescue charities very close to my heart: Ashbourne and District Animal Welfare Society, known as The Ark, where our beloved Rufus and Josh came from, and Yappy Ever After Dog Rescue, who united us with our current collie, Ben.

This is a personal fundraiser, and all money raised will be split equally, with 50% donated to The Ark and 50% donated to Yappy Ever After after the event.

I would be so grateful for any donation, and I am asking for this in place of birthday gifts.
