Maggie's 2017 TIP fund

In the summer of 2014, I was offered a full scholarship to attend Duke TIP's summer studies program. I kept the scholarship through three of my four years of the program, with this upcoming summer being my fourth and final year. For reasons that I do not know, the scholarship foundation decided to stop funding fourth years' TIP costs. This is a place and a program that means a lot to me, so I was heartbroken to hear this. I've changed as a person because of Duke TIP, I've grown, learned, loved, and lost. It is a place that truly has grown to be home for me.
Duke TIP (Talent Identification Program) Summer Studies is an academic program that is hosted at college and university campuses around the south-eastern United States. For twenty days over the summer TIP attendees, or "Tipsters', take rigorous courses on subjects ranging from writing, to robotics, to politics, to biology, and so much more. At approximately 250 students per term and campus, this camp has grown into more of a family than just a summer camp.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could help out in any way, as the loss of the scholarship was so abrupt and late in the application process that we are not certain how much, if any, financial aid we can recieve. I have limited time to raise funds, as full payment is due on March 8th. So please feel free to share this with family members, coworkers, peers, and friends, or any former Tipsters you know yourself.
Thank you so much,
Maggie Powell
