On December 6th, after being ill for only 4 days, Maggie was rushed to the hospital with difficulty breathing, and two days later succumbed to ARDS (Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome).  It was initially diagnosed as common pneumonia in the ER, but she quickly was admitted to ICU and placed on a ventilator.  That was the last time she was conscious. She was only 45 years old and left behind a husband and two young children (11 and 9 years old).

Maggie was an awesome woman who loved her family very much.  She was a woman of integrity and was loved by everyone she came in contact with.  "She was an amazing mother who understood all my needs and problems.  She was absolutely wonderful to all of us," said Zoe, her ll year old.  Her son, Ethan, says, "She was the best mother ever."

As most people know, hospital stays have a tremendous expense involved, especially such emergency procedures as is required in the ER & ICU. Because of this, overwhelming expenses have occurred that will not be covered by insurance. Because of Maggie's age and seemingly good health, it didn't seem imperative to acquire life insurance. Maggie's financial contribution was an important part of a two-income household.  Therefore this untimely death has put the family in a financial dilemma.  Any amount of money that can be accrued here for the purpose of dispelling these debts and for paying for her funeral and other final expenses will be a highly appreciated addition to the overall goal.  Any funds that remain will go directly to college funds for Zoe and Ethan, her two young children.
