Maggie is COMING HOME!!!!

Hello friends, family, and animal lovers.

Thank you all for all of your support, prayers, and donations.  After a week of trials, tribulations, ups, and downs, it seems like all of our rallying and advocating has finally paid off.   All the time in the hospital and on oxygen therapy has given her body the chance to fight and adapt and Little Maggie, our Sweet Potato, has shown stabilization.   She has been breathing “room oxygen” today with no signs of distress.    She should be coming home later today.    

Maggie has a couple things that compounded her issues this week.  A narrowing trachea, some beginnings of heart disease, and some bronchial issues all made a critical case for her this week.  But we have been able to keep her breathing easily while she and the meds fight this. 

We could not have done this without all of your help and support.  Every donation helped us not think twice where difficult decisions had to be made.   She will still have to be monitored and have several medications while we nurse her back, and some lifestyle changes will have to be made, but we are happy to have her coming back home.    She will have checkup in a couple weeks and follow up imaging/testing in 6 months.   We are hoping for continued health and progress for her.
