Maggie Davidson and Jaffa need our help

Hi there, it's Marisa from Tibbie Pet Owners Australia (TPOA) Admin and I'm fund-raising for one our Admin team members, Maggie Davidson and her beloved tibbie Jaffa.
After sudden onset of seizures on Sunday night (January 23rd) where Jaffa nearly died, followed by 5 days in hospital, the oncologist has scanned and found that Jaffa has a tumour in her pancreas and lymph node. This is a rare condition called insulinoma and her seizures were because too much insulin depleted her glucose which is essential for brain function. Maggie thought she would be ok with pet insurance but Jaffa's bills are already in excess of $10,000 with a maximum benefit of $14,500, and Maggie has just been told that surgery could cost up to around $14,500. Without treatment Maggie's beloved Jaffa has 6 months to live, with surgery she could have another 2-4 years together.
Maggie also has her own struggles. Maggie's condition is cPTSD and her amazing, beautiful, gentle service dog Jaffa has given Maggie back her life. Jaffa gives Maggie courage to go out into the world and has taught her how to live again and be in the moment. Maggie would be so lost without her golden girl by her side.
Maggie and Jaffa would be so grateful for your help towards Jaffa's surgery so that they can stay together and share the Tibbie love.
Jaffa is only 8 years old. Ironically, Jaffa had a perfect bill of health at her last vet check-up but as we know, when our precious fur babies get sick, they get sick quick.
Thank you team TPOA
