Maggie and Jim Need Your Help

Maggie and Jim need your help. Maggie is undergoing extensive cancer treatment.

How I know Maggie & Jim:

Jim Semple is one of the dearest men I know. He is the manager/co-owner of Auto Repair of Laguna Beach at PCH and Thalia. Sixteen years ago my dad helped me find a new auto shop in Laguna Beach. As a retired owner of his own auto shop, my dad wanted the best for me. When he met Jim and saw his work, he said, “This is the man to take care of your car. He knows his stuff. You go to him." And I did. Since then, Jim has helped me and countless others from our communities.

They need help: 

Now Jim and his wife Maggie, 55, need our help. Maggie was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer of the jaw and tongue. After her recent surgery, it has been extremely difficult for her to swallow, speak or eat and this will continue for a long time.  Maggie and Jim are not new to medical problems. 10 years ago Maggie was rear-ended which  left her with chronic pain and back and neck problems.

Why do they need help:

Jim and Maggie are dealing with bills not covered by insurance, including but not limited to:

* Reconstruction of her face and teeth
* Speech therapy
* Face and neck guards for radiation therapy
* Transportation for her many medical services, 
* Expensive liquid nutrition since she can't eat regular food.
* Ongoing nursing care

Please consider contributing any amount, $10, $50, $100 or more, to Jim and Maggie. Community members honor and trust him. His clients consider them their friend and love him for the devotion he gives to repairing their cars and to them personally.  Jim and Maggie give more than they take, but they are now "those people who need a helping hand".  Please consider contributing to them through this Go Fund Me project.
