Chimacum High School Class of 2022 has had quite the high school career.  As Sophomores having everything shut down in the spring, as Juniors spending half of their year doing remote school and having all 3 sports seasons in 4 short months. Luckily their senior year has been fairly "normal". These kids have all worked so hard to adjust to changes and make the best of it all.

 

The fundraising events the Junior class does to contribute to all of the fun activities that surround the celebration of the culmination of the last 4 years of hard work have not been able to occur due to pandemic restrictions.  Typically the Junior class would operate the Fire Works Stand in June with an opportunity to earn $10,000 - $20,000 to fund year end events and leave a legacy with the school by purchasing some sort of needed item or equipment that they would donate in the Class name. This was not possible under the pandemic restrictions.

 

This year a group of parents are joining together to do what we can to honor these Seniors. We are raising money so that we can honor each senior with a Class of 2022 photo banner on the fence along Rhody Drive, a gift bag with Senior Class merch and gift cards to local establishments, and a safe alcohol and drug free event after graduation with entertainment, food and prizes.

 

Here are the details:

 

1). Our goal is to raise $5,000

 

2). The money will go towards:

 

a. Purchasing a Class of 2022 photo banner to honor each student on the fence along Rhody Drive.

 

b. Purchasing branded merchandise for each senior to remember their experience by.

 

c. Purchasing food, prizes and entertainment for the Safe Grad Night celebration.

 

d. Any remaining funds will be held and earmarked for the Class of 2023 . Big Blue Boosters will be the stewards of these dollars to ensure they are properly allocated to the next class.

 

Deadline for donation is May 1st. To ensure enough time for items to be purchased and have all shipments in time.
