Mafati Bah: Ole Miss Pre-College Program Fundraiser

Hi. My name is Mafati Bah, but most people know me as Fati. I am a junior at Strayhorn High School where I am an active member of several school organizations and sports. Through my involvement in these various activities, I have developed a love for leadership and public service. This is why I plan to pursue a career in public policy after graduation.

A few months ago, I applied for a public policy summer college through Ole Miss Pre-College Programs. With the encouragement and support of Strayhorn’s administrators, I completed the lengthy application process. Despite the fact that the application was open internationally and there were only 50 available spots for the program, I was accepted. Now, I will spend the month of June taking three public policy centered classes on the Ole Miss campus and I will visit Washington, d.c. for a week to observe the legislative process.

I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity but it does not come for free. To participate in this program I have to pay the tuition and I would really like to pay for it without burdening my parents. This is why I started this fundraiser. I am humbly asking for the help of my community members to donate so I can learn about public policy and bring my knowledge back to Strayhorn. Your support is greatly appreciated.
